David Perez Padua has been deeply involved in martial arts for over 30 years, mastering Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Muay Thai. When he's not on the mats, you can find him catching waves, as surfing is another of his lifelong passions. Known for his humility and dedication, David focuses on teaching his students with patience and a strong commitment to their personal growth. His love for martial arts and the ocean truly reflects his balanced and grounded approach to life.
David began his journey in boxing at the age of 8 and later expanded his passion to martial arts, building a 30-year career with diverse experience and knowledge in combat.

Studied herbalism and herbal medicine making through Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine.

Tara Spring is the Lead Yoga Instructor at Excel Combat Academy, where she guides students through yoga practices that support strength, mobility, and recovery. Certified before the age of 18 through Mindful Yoga Teacher Training (a Yoga Alliance–accredited school), Tara brings over 10 years of experience and deep knowledge of the body, breath, and movement.
In addition to her YTT200 certification, she has completed over 200 hours of continuing education in herbalism and holistic health through the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine.
Her classes are designed to meet all levels, with a focus on functional movement, nervous system regulation, and real-life benefits on and off the mat.
